I have sad news. For many years now, on particularly hard days, I have been putting Joy to bed early and ... stretching the truth about it being "bed-time". But it now appears that her DARNED teacher has gone and taught her to tell time. And tonight she said, "NO, mama, it isn't 8:00 yet!"
Damn those blasted teachers. Can't they teach her about ... I don't know, the birds and the bees, or something?

Maybe it's time to pull the, "You are a growing girl and you need your sleep. During school days bedtime is 7:30." hee hee. I know all I wanted tonight was for the boys to be ASLEEP! peace. ahhhh
oh no! LOL I do that with Kadyn. She used to go to bed at 8 but now she goes at 6.30 cos by that time I am just zonked! I have a few more years to go till she susses me out thank god!
That is so funny. My daughter pointed out the same thing the other night. "Mommy why do you say its 8:00 when its only 7:52?"
Sheesh!
Darn those digital clocks too. They are so much easier to read.
It is nice to do the, "Mommy is not getting out of bed until the clock says 7-0-0."
